Technical Info

What will the enamel pins be made of? What are the design constraints?

  • The enamel pins & coins are made of metal bodies.
  • High quality enamel paints will be used for coloring designs - a custom mixture developed for quality & environmental friendliness.
  • The colors will be based off an approximate colorspace mapping instead of Pantones to begin with.
  • The metal body can be electroplated in copper, nickel, rhodium, or gold.
  • All products will be varnished with long-lasting UV-resistant clear-coats.
  • The pins & coins can be any shape – featuring pockets, polished areas, or shallow embosses.
  • Pockets can be filled with any single color.
  • A design has no limit on the number of colors.
  • Designs can be as small as 1/4" – 6 mm – or as large 12" – 30 cm. Design features can be as small as 3 thou or 0.1 mm.
